This visa allows eligible foreigners to live in Thailand legally for extended periods while working remotely for overseas employers or engaging in approved activities without entering the Thai labor market. The DTV visa is designed to support Thailand’s economy by encouraging long-stay visitors with stable income sources from abroad.

The DTV visa offers flexibility, longer stay periods, and reduced visa-run requirements compared to traditional tourist visas.



Requirements for the DTV Visa

Applicants must meet the following general requirements:

• Hold a valid passport with sufficient remaining validity
• Demonstrate financial stability (minimum funds requirement)
• Have clear intent to stay in Thailand under permitted DTV activities
• Not be employed by a Thai company or earning income from Thai sources
• Have no criminal record and not be prohibited from entering Thailand
• Comply with Thai immigration laws and regulations

Eligible Purposes for the DTV Visa
